Cobra Foundation is an independant charity providing health, education and community support for young people in South Asia, especially through the provision of safe water.

Our charitable objectives include giving help with Disaster Relief in the Region.

Grants Policy

Cobra Foundation supports charities and non-charitable "good causes" that undertake work within the parameters of our charitable mission. Interested in how Cobra Foundation can help you?

1. Financial grants

There is limited budget through which we are able to offer grants, normally capped at £2000. We prefer to distribute lower sums to a wider range of small to medium sized charities (annual turnover of less than £2 million) rather than support larger organisation who with access to other sources and who have well defined reserves.

Please do not apply if your objectives do not match our mission, as stated above

If you have doubts as to eligibility, please contact patrick.shervington@zen.co.uk

We do not require a standard form and it is not necessary to submit annual accounts at this stage.

We need a one page statement of The Need, how you are addressing the need and how support from Cobra Foundation will make a sustainable difference to the situation of your beneficiaries

We are prepared to recieve your promotional videos and relevant supporting literature.

Please submit bids at least six weeks in advance of your requirement for funds. We prefer to have three months notice as this provides more opportunity to research and prioritise requests.

In common with other grant making Trusts and Foundations, we get requests for financial support far exceeding available funds. We will always explain why bids have been unsuccessful or deferred.

Successful bids will be notified within 28 days of application.

How To Apply

Applications for financial grants should be submitted by email or letter, with enclosures as appropriate.

2. Provision of Cobra Beer

Through the generosity Cobra stocks of Cobra beer may be made available for charitable events in one of three ways

Complimentary Beer - On behalf of the Cobra Beer partnership we can receive applications for complimentary stocks of Cobra Beer. As for financial grants, stocks are only supplied if your objectives match our charitable mission. Our aim is to help your fund raising events by reducing your own costs.

"Community Rate" Cobra Beer - If we are unable to supply complimentary beer, we may be able to help your fundraising event by providing Cobra Beer at a special "community rate". This is currently set at £15 per case (24 x 330ml bottles) of Cobra 5% or Cobra Zero plus a nominal charge for delivery.

An auction or raffle prize "Win a year's supply of Cobra Beer" 15 x cases of 330ml bottles (360 bottles) of Cobra 5% or Cobra Zero - This is our most popular raffle or auction prize for your fundraising event or other fund raising activity.
